SYNOPSIS OF UNBEKANNT BY OKRIKO ONUOHA Jr
On the edge of economic hardship in the country, so many Nigerian youths sought to flee the country for greener pastures. KELENNA finds himself among co-Traveler stuck in an airport at Stuttgart, Germany, trying to reconnect with the visa agent’s representative, who had procured him the travelling visa on false identity.
After seeking asylum, KELENNA is faced even with a more difficult task on how to find job or chores in his NEIGHBOURHOOD and LANDKRIESS where he lives.
Worse still, he is unable to repay the mounting debts acquired for him by his family.
During the course of seeking for job and chores, KELENNA fumbles, but he gets to know another easier way to stay in the country by hitching a German lady. KELENNA got an illegal job in a meat processing factory, where he met fellow black African workers like him, who were also asylum seekers, working fervently overtime jobs, stretching into weekends
Indeed, it is fate that brings him in contact with a white nurse, Laura, he never anticipated. KELENNA’s real identity is revealed, leading him to take refuge in the graze of maize.
The job he has banked on is dislodged by the authorities when he needs it most. Laura despite the mounting pressures and the difficulties still decides to hitch him as a sort of last remedy, with KELENNA taking her back to the asylum hostel in Nürtingen at her behest, KELENNA discovers that his erstwhile friend who has lived on a fake identity in the hostel was a Nigerian.
Laura showers KELENNA with unconditional love which he had dreamt of right from the very night, in Lagos, when he boarded the Lufthansa flight bound for Germany.
The story unravels the kaleidoscope of KELENNA, a man with grit and bad luck.
